Perhaps the handiest device I have come across in years is the PDA (personal digital assistant.) For the longest time, I thought they were gadgets and not serious work tools.

I was wrong.

Right now, my schedule, address book, and to-do list are all on my palm pilot 3XE. I have the complete Bible, a program called Avantgo that allows me to download Fox News, the Weather channel, Spurgeon's Morning and Evening, Yahoo, the Wall Street Journal headlines, and more.

I downloaded a program called HandMap with a Randolph County map. I tell it the street name I want, and it guides me to the exact spot. Man, talk about handy when you are visiting or giving people exact directions. I can read and send my email through my computer or with a Palm modem if I so desired. Right now, my life is not so busy I need to download and send email on the fly. It is nice to know that I could if I needed to.

Honestly, I am only beginning to scratch the surface on what I can do with the palm pilot 3XE.

E-MailBelow are some sites I have found especially useful. Please send me any you have or any uses for your PDA.
